Anyone else here with ADD/ADHD?

i have had this problem all my life.

i have a child that also has it.

since people with adhd have a problem fitting into organizations do you think it may be one of the reasons why you just couldn't take the jw's any more.

I totally agree with tinkers post.

I hope the semantics of my post wasn't misinterpreted tinkers.

What I am trying to say is, the Jws mother and stepfather where labelling my son due to their own shortsightedness and applying guilt on my son along with the cronies in the KH.

Whereas me, having already read up on proper medical information along with a specialist got to the bottom of these so called "behavoiral problems" which was only being reported by the stepfather, mother and not me or the school. Incidently the Jws where also actualy trying to blame me for these problems by allowing my son to do fun stuff at my house which was prohibited at there house.

I've never been a JW but my son lives with his mother and stepfather who are JWs.

But talking from experience here, apparently my son had behavorial problems only at the mothers house, but he's a good as gold here in my care.

A couple of times the Jws dragged my son to the GP for some kind of mental illness, madness such as ADHD or autism (according to the stepfather).

However, it was to be the start of the Jws mother and stepfather unravelling of the web of deceit, lies and the fact my son was simply just rebelling against the strict rules of the Watchtower. Of course the Jws wouldn't blame there own parenting skills or the fact my son was fed up of religion being force fed and instead wanted to participate in social events such as Easter, Birthdays, Christmas and play with friends, instead they would use unreasonable guilt on my son and blame him for thier own,... inadequacies.

Mind you his Dad (me) was there to help out with the true diagnosis of what was happening to my son ;)

What I am trying to say is, while ADHD and other mental illnesses can and do exist and are difficult to handle for parents. I do wonder if a any Jw kid labelled with a mental illness as a teenager wasn't simply due to rebelling as any normal child would under such a strict regime.

can anyone else also supply me "our kingdom ministry" for dates of assemblies in uk.. i'm not planning to cause trouble at these gatherings.

it's just that i have a court order which prevents my child from being taken to these things and i need evidence to stop the mother and stepfather forcing my child to go against his wishes.. the mother and stepfather don't tell him of course and keep it a secret right until the last minute.

But, evidence is good to reserve for my defence, just in case. The Jws are always looking for any excuse to go to court.

I already know about the child custody book (and battling over the children video) and how much of drama queens they are in court, but still they havent succeded.

Some excellent ideas. I like the phone and GPS tracker idea.

Yes assemblies are always harder to find out. My son does tell me of these because he doesn't like going, he says they are boring and he rather come around my house and play with his friends. But the Jws don't tell him anymore when the assemblies are until the last minute and they only stick to the minimum of the contact orders.

Even though they do this to my son it just causes him to resent them and not trust them, so I'm not too worried about this. In fact the Jws are doing me a favour, if you know what I mean.

Yup little armageddon is on his way. It's just a question of time until he's old enough to tell *them* where to go. The best thing is, I've never mentioned anything about religion to him for the last 8 years. Just gave him lots of fun during contact was the key, mind you the very strict courts orders I gained helped him out a bit, although his witness mother and stepfather never did stick to them really. The school did though.

It would appear assemblies would be announced within the meetings. I think I rather walk around the border of ireland waving a union jackflag in my underwear than go to meetings.
